Sanju Samson - Biography

Sanju Samson is an Indian Cricketer, Who was born on 11 November 1994 in Trivandram, Kerala. He is a wicket-keeper and batsman.He was the second-youngest player to score a half-century in both IPL and Champions League T20.Sanju Samson plays for the 'Kerala Cricket Team' in his Domestic Cricket. He is the first wicket-keeper batsmen to score a double century in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also made his entry to the Indian Cricket Team in 2014. Let's Know More about Sanju Samson.

Who was a Police constable at Delhi police, He is a good Football player Too.Sanju's Mother's name is Lily Samson.She is a House-Wife, he has a younger brother whose name is Saly Samson, He is also a good Cricketer Too.Samson was married to Charulatha Ramesh on 22nd December 2018, She was his college-mate & Girlfriend too.


Sanju Samson completed his schooling in both Rosary Senior Secondary School, Delhi & St.Joseph'sHigher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram. While his schooling Sanju was good at cricket and From there he was motivated to focus on cricket when he gets time. After completion of schooling, Sanju joined in Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuramto complete his B.A Degree in English.


Sanju Samson started his cricket life by being a member of the under-13 cricket team of Kerala.After his junior cricket career, Then later in 2014, he was appointed as vice-captain of team India for the 2014under-19 cricket world cup. In that Under-19 World Cup, he scored 85 runs from 45 balls against papa new guinea.Samson made his Ranji Trophy Debut for the Kerala team on 3 November 2011. After a few years of Ranji Career, he was appointed as the captain of Kerala Ranji Team. On October 12, 2019, He scored unbeaten 212 runs from 129 balls against Goa, which was the record of making the highest score by a wicket-keeperin List A cricket.

IPL Career

In IPL 2012 He was a member of Kolkata Knight Riders. But For KKR in That Year 2012, He didn't get a chance to play, In the coming year 2013.Rajasthan Royals Took him in the IPL auction & He made his IPL debut on April 13, 2013. In the very first match, he impressed with a good catch and Runout while keeping and with the bat he scored 27 runs from 23 balls with his mate Ajinkya Rahane, In the next match with Royal challengers Bengaluru on 29 April 2013, He Scored 63 runs from 43 balls and made to win the match for Rajasthan.In that year he became the youngest player in the IPLto score Half-century at the age of 18. In the same year, he won the best young player of the season for 2013.In 2016, IPL Auction Delhi Dare Devils bagged him for 4.2 crores. In the Next year, 2017 Sanju Samson made his maiden T20 century against Rising Pune supergiants on 11 April 2017,Again in the next year IPL auction held in 2018, Rajasthan Royals Brought Sanju Samson for 8 crores, In that year he scored 92 runs from 45 balls against Royal challengers Bangalore and won the 'MAN of the MATCH' Award.In 2019 Sanju Samson made his second IPL Century against Sunrisers Hyderabad with a score of unbeaten 102 runs from just 55 balls.In 2020 In the very first match, Sanju Samson Scored 74 runs from 32 balls which included 9 sixes and 1 fours with a strike rate of 231.25. In this match, Sanju Samson was awarded as 'Player of the match'.In his second match Sanju Samson made the best knock of 85 runs from 42 balls which included 7 sixes and 4 fours with a strike rate of 202.38, In this match again Sanju Samson was awarded as 'Player of the match'.

International Cricket

Sanju Samson was included in the Indian Cricket Squad for 5 ODI's and a Twenty20 on 5 August 2020, However, he didn't play any match in that Series.After so many selections for Indian Cricket.
