Mohammad Babar Azam is an Pakistani Cricketer, born 15 October 1994. He plays for Pakistan in international and plays for central Punjab in domestic cricket and Karachi kings in Pakistan super league. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler.Babar belongs to the cricket family. He was the cousin of renowned Pakistan cricketers Kamran Akmal & Umar Akmal. Babar Azam was the captain of ICC U-19 world cup 2012. Babar is the only player to become top five in ICC ranking in all cricket formats.

His team went on winning a trophy after defeating Northern in the final. He also played in the 2019-20 cricket national cup, where he scored a centuryin the first match for his team and became the first player to score three centuries in the Twenty20 calendar year.

Babar played for Islamabad United in the first season of Pakistan Super League 2016. In 2017 Babar moved to Karachi Kings. In the 2017 season, his performance was average by scoring291 runs in the entire season with a batting average of 32.33. In 2018 Babar Azam again retained for Karachi kings, In that season he was the third person amongthe top scorers of that season with having five half-centuries. In 2019 Babar Azam played for Karachi kings and he scored 335 runs with an average of 30.45.In 2020 Babar Azam was the leading run-scorer of the season with 473 runs by an average of 59.12. Babar Azam made his One-day international debut on 31 may, 2015 and scored a half-century by scoring 54 runs from 60 balls.Babar Azam was included in the home series against west-indies. In the very first match on September 30, 2016, Babar scored 120 runs from 131 balls and led Pakistan to win the match and Babar has won the man of the match award.In the next second ODI Babar scored his second century in that series by scoring 123 of 126 balls. In the next third ODIBabar again scored consecutive third century by scoring 107 runs from 106 balls. He has also been named as player of the series in that tour.On 19 January 2017, In the third ODI Against Australia, Azam became the fastest player for Pakistan in ODI to reach 1000 runs in just 21 innings. In that same year, he also entered into Top 10 ODI batsmen rankings for the first time.In the 2017 Pakistan Cricket Board Awards, Babar Azam was awarded as Pakistan's ODI player of the year. Babar Azam made his test debut on 13 October 2016 against West Indies in Dubai and scored 69 runs in his first innings.On 25 November 2018 Babar Azam scored his maiden test century against New Zealand. In September 2019 for a home series against Sri LankaBabar Azam was named as vice-captain for both ODI's and T20's. He scored his eleventh century and became the fastest Pakistani player to score 1000 runs in a calendar year beating the record of Javed Miandad.On December 1st, 2019, Azam score his second test century against Australia and missed his consecutive century by three runs in the second test where he was dismissed at 97.On February 9, 2020, Azam scored his career-best test highest score of 143 runs against Bangladesh.On 10 November 2020, Babar Azam was mention as Pakistan's Test Captain.
